High Total Alkalinity (TA) Advice

Your measured total alkalinity (TA) is %TAmeas and is too high and should be lowered through acid addition with aeration. {Add %pHdose cups of GLB pH Down slowly to your pool.} {Add %pHdose cups of WaterGuru DROP pH slowly to your pool.} Add the acid slowly over a return flow with the pump running. Aerate the water by pointing returns up or running waterfalls, spillovers, fountains or by splashing.

High TA can precipitate scale and have pH rise over time. Keep TA at the appropriate level for balanced pool water.

• Target TA level is dependent on your pH, cyanuric acid (CYA), calcium hardness (CH) levels and on water temperature.

• TA rises from evaporation and refill with (usually hard) water high in TA or from addition of pH Up or Alkalinity Up products.
