WaterGuru TEST - High Cyanuric Acid (CYA) Advice
High Cyanuric Acid (CYA) Advice
Below is an example of a CYA advice message you may receive after your TEST results are analyzed:
"Your measured Cyanuric Acid (CYA) is X% CYA measured, and is too high. Dilute/replace x% drain gallons of pool water".
High CYA requires a high chlorine level to prevent algae growth and makes it harder to kill algae if already present. Keep CYA at the appropriate level for balanced pool water.
Below is an example of a Target CYA advice message you may receive after your TEST results are analyzed:
"Your Target CYA is %CYAtarg"
- Target CYA level is dependent on the amount of exposure to sunlight and whether your pool is covered.
- CYA rises from use of stabilized chlorine (e.g. Trichlor or Dichlor).
