"No Flow Sensor Report" - WaterGuru SENSE
The No Flow Sensor Alert is an indication that your SENSE has not been connected to the Internet for a period of time.
This alert is an indication that the SENSE pump scan that runs every half hour and reports water flow has not reported any readings to the cloud because it is not connected to the Internet.
Note: If you just set up the SENSE, this issue will prevent your device from performing it's first Water Measurement
Perform the following troubleshooting:
-
Check your network connectivity in the WaterGuru App
- You will see the last time your SENSE was connected to your home Wi-Fi network
-
Reboot the SENSE
- As long as the battery strength is sufficient - 50% or higher, and as long as you have made no changes to your Wi-Fi network, nodes or access points, the SENSE should reconnect to your Wi-Fi network
- Wait for 45 minutes after the reboot
- Every 30 minutes the SENSE device "wakes up" for a few seconds, connects to your Wi-Fi network, reports the pool's water temperature to the Cloud and the App and then disconnects from your Wi-Fi network
- After 45 minutes have elapsed after the reboot, check your network connectivity in the WaterGuru App
-
The SENSE should be connected
- If you are not connected, check your battery strength in the App. Low battery strength can cause the SENSE to disconnect from
- If you are not connected, ensure that you did not make any recent changes to your home Wi-Fi network, i.e. new network SSID, new password, etc.
- After you have verified that the SENSE once again connected to your Wi-Fi network and reported a new Water Temperature to the App, proceed
-
Perform a Water Measurement
- Ensure that the Water Measurement time you have selected in the App is 1 hour after the time your water pump has been turned on
- Ensure that the flow sensor is facing towards the pool and not towards the skimmer. The flow sensor is the metal chip which is visible at the back of the Sensor unit which is submerged in the water.
- Ensure that there is no debris or contaminants in the skimmer
- Turn on the Water pump if it is not already engaged for the following Water Measurement Test
- Ensure the SENSE is in the skimmer and submerged in water
- Tap "Measure Now" from the Home page of the App
- The Water Measurement can take up to 12 minutes to complete. You will see a push message in the App when it is complete if you have enabled push notifications
- The water test results should appear in the WaterGuru App.
