Can the WaterGuru SENSE float on the water or does it need to be placed in a pool skimmer?

SENSE S3

• The SENSE S3 device requires a float ring (sold separately) which allows it to be used in above-ground pools and spas. 
• The SENSE S3 when used in hot tubs or above-ground pools must be used with the float ring to prevent damage to the SENSE.

SENSE S2

• The SENSE S2 device comes with a float ring allowing it to be used in above-ground pools and spas. 
• The SENSE S2 when used in hot tubs or above-ground pools must be used with the float ring to prevent damage to the SENSE.

SENSE S1

• The SENSE S1 cannot be placed in the pool to float on the water.  Doing so would allow water to enter the device and short out the device electronics. 
• The SENSE S1 must be placed in a pool skimmer.
