"No Flow Sensor Report #Hours/#Days"- WaterGuru SENSE
A "No Flow Sensor Report" Alert is an indication that the SENSE Flow Sensor has not sent a water flow measurement report for a specific period of time
The Flow Sensor of the SENSE is calibrated during manufacturing for an ideal flow rate of 10 gallons per minute in the skimmer.
How does the Flow Sensor work?
Before each water measurement is performed, the SENSE self-calibrates whereby the flow sensor is heated slightly for several seconds. After the flow sensor is heated, the time for the flow sensor to cool down again is then measured. If the flow sensor cools down quickly, that means the water flow is at maximum and that it's the ideal time to start the measurement.
Important - Metal chip on the Sensor must be facing towards the pool
Please make sure that the sensor is freely suspended in the skimmer and not backed up against the pool wall to register water flow. The Flow Sensor is the metal chip located on the back of the part of the SENSE that is suspended in the skimmer. The metal chip should be facing towards the pool. Also, ensure that the measurement time on the app is set when your pool pump is at maximum speed.
Perform the following troubleshooting:
- Ensure that the pool pump is running and that there is water flow in the skimmer
- Remove the SENSE from the skimmer
- Reboot the SENSE unit by removing and re-installing batteries
- Clean the skimmer of any debris
- Remove the mesh bag (Note - The mesh bag is optional and is only required for pools with heavy debris)
- Replace the SENSE device in the skimmer ensuring that the metal chip is facing towards the pool
- Run a manual measurement from the WaterGuru App while the pool pump is running
If you have completed the above troubleshooting steps, and the WaterGuru App still shows the "No Flow Sensor Report" alert, and / or if the SENSE water temperature shows 34.1F, there may be a problem with your device, please submit a Support Request
