How much sun exposure is enough to charge The WaterGuru SENSE S3 battery through solar charging?
SENSE S3 in full sun
- If the SENSE S3 is in a skimmer with year round sun exposure, the SENSE S3 device should remain charged for the pool season through solar charging.
- 1 hour of full direct sun each day provides enough of a solar charge to maintain normal daily operation with once daily measurement
SENSE S3 in bright overcast conditions with white clouds but no direct sunlight
- Bright overcast conditions with white clouds but no direct sunlight should provide enough of a solar charge to maintain normal daily operation
SENSE S3 in partial sun / partial shade
- On days with partial sun / partial shade, the limited amount of direct sun exposure will provide some solar charging but will not maintain a full charge
SENSE S3 in dark cloudy overcast conditions
- Occasional dark cloudy overcast conditions will not maintain a full charge, but will extend the time between required charging when there is no direct sunlight exposure
SENSE S3 in full shade / Indoor pools
- If the SENSE S3 is located either indoors or in full shade without direct exposure to the sun, the SENSE S3 should be charged first through USB charging and then placed in the skimmer
- A full USB charge will last about 5 months
SENSE S3 with a depleted battery
- 2 weeks of days with full direct sun exposure are enough to fully charge a depleted battery
