How do I charge the SENSE S3?
The SENSE S3 can be charged two ways:
By exposure to direct sunlight
- When charging the LED will blink green on and off. When charging is through, the LED light will stop blinking green
By charging the SENSE S3 through the USB C port. Note: USB C cable and USB C charging block are not included
- Remove the SENSE S3 from the skimmer and take the device indoors
- The USB C connector is located under a white screw cover in the middle of the SENSE S3
- Insert a nickel or quarter into the notch on the screw cover and turn to the left to open
- Remove the Screw Cover and place in a secure place. You will need to replace the screw
- Unscrew the charging port screw cover on the top of the SENSE S3 using a coin - nickel or a quarter - Store the charging port screw cover in a secure location! After charging, you must replace the screw cover before putting the SENSE S3 back in your pool.
- Insert a USB C cable into the charging port and connect it to a USB C charging block
- When charging the LED will blink green on and off
- When charging is complete the LED light will stop blinking green
- Remove the cable from the USB C port
- Replace the screw cover over the USB C port
- Insert a nickel or quarter into the notch on the screw cover and turn to the right to close
- Ensure the screw cover is securely closed before replacing the SENSE S3 in your skimmer
NOTE: Failure to securely replace the screw cover after USB charging may result in water incursion into the SENSE S3 device which will cause the device to short circuit and fail. Failure to replace the screw cover after USB charging voids the SENSE S3 warranty.
