"Put Unit in water and try again" - Android
If you see "Put Unit in water and try again" in the WaterGuru Android app, it is an indication that the WaterGuru SENSE attempted to measure your water, but was unable to do so because the flow sensor was not completely submerged in your skimmer water.
The flow sensor, shown in the image below highlighted with a red rectangle, is part of the cassette housing that is suspended in your skimmer. The flow sensor must be completely covered in water or measurements will fail.
This error is caused by the SENSE sensing a lower than normal water level in your skimmer.
- It can also occur if the water pumps are running too high, reducing the water level in the skimmer
- It can also occur if you have removed the WaterGuru SENSE from your pool for cleaning
To resolve, do the following:
- Ensure that the SENSE is suspended correctly so that the flow sensor is completely submerged in the skimmer water.
- You may need to adjust the cable length using the cable tie to permit the SENSE to hang lower in your skimmer if this issue occurs frequently.
- After you have ensured that the SENSE cassette housing is now completely submerged, and that you are within Bluetooth range of the SENSE, tap "Measure Now" in the app
- The measurement will now proceed
