Can I put chemicals in the skimmer where the SENSE is installed?

You must not put chemicals in the skimmer where your SENSE is installed.  Doing so will provide inaccurate SENSE chemical readings, especially if the pump is operating at minimal power during treatment or measurement time.

Placing chlorine tablets or sticks into the skimmer can create an excessively acidic chlorine level, potentially damaging pipes and equipment.

It's advisable to use a chlorinator or dispenser for more uniform chlorine distribution. While a floating dispenser may not offer even distribution as an inline chlorinator, it's still the best option since you cannot place chemicals directly in the skimmer basket where the SENSE is located.

Chemicals should be placed directly into the pool water, preferably in the deep end near the return jets, for better dispersion.
