Does the WaterGuru SENSE need Wi-Fi signal at the pool / hot tub area?

Yes. The WaterGuru SENSE requires a Wi-Fi signal.  You must have a Broadband 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi signal at the pool skimmer area where the SENSE is installed with a compatible Wi-Fi security profile.

If you need to extend the signal of your Home Wi-Fi to the pool area, you can either purchase a Wi-Fi range extender (non-Mesh network) or if you have a Mesh Network, you may need to purchase an additional mesh network node.

Note:  Mobile Hotspots using cellular signal cannot be used to provide Wi-Fi connectivity.  Mobile Hotspots are dependent on a Mobile Hotspot subscription and will not automatically reconnect after power outages.
