How do I perform a Water Measurement of my pool water?

The WaterGuru SENSE allows you to set a Daily Measurement time and to also do Real Time Water Measurements whenever you want!

Daily Water Measurement

During initial setup, you can set the daily time you want the WaterGuru SENSE to perform the Daily Water Measurement.  This time should correspond to a time when you are certain that the Water Pump is set to be running.

Real Time Water Measurement

Anytime you want to do a real time water measurement, just tap Measure Now from the middle of the WaterGuru App Home screen.   

• On the Home Screen, the Measure Now button is displayed between the 2 circles showing FC and pH values.  
• Tap Measure Now
• Note:  Performing multiple "Measure Now" water measurement tests will reduce the life of the cassette.

Note:  Measure Now can be done from anywhere as long as both your SENSE is connected to Wi-Fi If your phone is connected to the Internet - cellular or Wi-Fi. 

• If are at home and the Measure Now is conducted within Bluetooth range - 6-10 feet, the measurement will only take about 12 minutes. 
• If you are not at home or not within Bluetooth range, the test will take longer - approximately 45 minutes maximum.

The app will check to see if you are within Bluetooth range of your SENSE device.

Within Bluetooth range

If you are at home and within Bluetooth range of your SENSE, the real time process will take about 12 minutes to complete.  When complete, a push message will be displayed in the App showing the results. 

Outside Bluetooth range

If your SENSE is out of Bluetooth range, your SENSE will connect via your Wi-Fi network and the measurement will be done via the cloud.  This will take about 45 minutes. 

Tap OK.

When complete, the app will display a push message with the results.

The WaterGuru app will also display the results and display a time indicator for how long ago the measurement was conducted, i.e. 1 minute ago or 45 minutes ago.

How does it work? 

During each Water Measurement reading, the SENSE is calibrated to account for the unique environment of your skimmer at the time of measurement.  The water exposure of the proprietary chemistry pads takes about 10 minutes to stabilize the color change in each pad corresponding to changes in water chemistry levels.  This ensures the most accurate and consistent measurements.
