How accurate is the WaterGuru SENSE?
Unlike pool store test strips that can vary in accuracy, the test pads that the WaterGuru SENSE uses, provide very accurate FC and pH chemical readings that are matched against the accuracy of the highly rated Taylor Test kit K1515A. The Taylor Test kit K1515A is available from Amazon for about $35.
FC and pH Readings - Ranges and Accuracy:
- FC- Range: 1ppm-10ppm with an accuracy of between +/- 0.5ppm
- pH - Range: 7.0 - 8.0 units with an accuracy of between +/- 0.2 units
- ppm = Parts per million
Before each water measurement test is performed, the WaterGuru SENSE is calibrated to account for the presence of the water testing strips in the cassette and the unique conditions of the water in your skimmer.
Note: If the measurements of pH and Chlorine are larger than expected, remove the mesh bag from the unit. The mesh bag is only needed for pools that have a high amount of fine particulate debris. Remove the unit from the skimmer and place it next to a return valve. Ensure the water pump is running and perform another Water Measurement in the App to make a comparison.
