How do I reset the WaterGuru SENSE?
To reset the WaterGuru SENSE simply remove the batteries, wait 30 seconds and then reinsert the batteries. If you are in the shade and have waited 30 seconds, you will see lights in either the top skimmer lid of the SENSE S1 or in the bottom of the cassette holder of the SENSE S2 that will blink on and off momentarily and then stop blinking. If you do not see the lights blinking, you may need to move to a shaded area or the batteries may need to be replaced.
- SENSE S2 - The lights in the bottom of the cassette holder of the SENSE S2 will blink red once, then pause and then blink green once and then stop
- If the SENSE S2 blinks a red light only, please contact customer support. The device may be experiencing an issue.
- Click here to submit a Support Request and Customer Support will respond
- SENSE S1 - 2022 - 2023 generation - The lights in the top skimmer lid will blink on and off red and green and then stop
- SENSE S1 - 2020 - 2022 generation - The lights in the top skimmer lid will blink on and off red, green and blue and then stop
After you have performed the reset, the SENSE will reconnect automatically to your home Wi-Fi network. Wait 30 minutes and you then you can check the SENSE connection status in your app.
- Tap the Gear icon (Settings) > Device Info > Last Connection
Note: The SENSE connects every 30 minutes to measure your pool's temperature and report it to the Cloud and the app.
The "Last Connection time" in the app is the last time, the SENSE connected through your Wi-Fi network and reported the Pool's temperature to the Cloud and the WaterGuru app. If you have just performed a reset, check the app after 30 minutes and you will see the updated "Last Connection" Time.
Note: If you have made changes to your Wi-Fi network, i.e. new password, new Wi-Fi router, etc., you will need to tap Settings > Wi-Fi settings to switch the SENSE to the new network.
Note: There is no Factory Reset option for the SENSE, nor is it necessary. The SENSE receives regular Firmware updates that are delivered OTA - Over the air - through Wi-Fi to keep the device software up-to-date.
